A: A portal is a gateway to the information and services on the Internet. My CoolSpace is a portal with a mandate to provide Midhurst and surrounding areas residents with access to Midhurst regional information and services. Additionally, MyCoolSpace community portal provide access to other useful Internet based information and services that may be of interest to the portal users.

Q: Who manages the MyCoolSpace community portal?
A: The portal is owned and managed by Global Communication Technologies Ltd.

Q: How does the portal benefit the residents of Midhurst?
A: The portal is bringing advanced technology to the Midhurst region. The major benefits of the portal are:

A: There is no fee to use the MyCoolSpace portal. Some online services may require service fee payments in the future. However, at this time, there is no usage fee or convenience fee charged to use the portal services.

Q: Who can use MyCoolSpace portal?
A: The portal is available to anyone who has Internet access.

Q: Why should I become a member of the portal?
A: Portal membership has many advantages. Portal membership enables you to use all services and facilities available within the portal.

Q: Who can register to be a member of the portal?
A: Any one with an interest to use the portal can register to become a member of the portal.

Q: Is there a fee to become a member of the portal?
A: There is no fee to become a member of the portal.

Q: Is there a fee to place an advert within the portal?
A: There is no fee to place a private advert. If you wish to place a commercial advert, please contact us on (01730) 810881 for a competitive quotation. .

Q: If I provide my e-mail during the registration process will I get spam?
A: The portal does not send spam e-mails. E-mails are sent to only those who choose to subscribe to their preferred e-mail notifications, alerts or newsletters. If you have registered for any service, in the Portal, you may receive e-mails related to that service.

Q: How do I report an abuse in the portal?
A: At GCTL, helping to promote your online safety is our highest priority. If you encounter something inappropriate or unpleasant, on this portal, please contact us immediately by phone or e-mail. Please let us know where and what you saw. We will record your report and then take all actions necessary to ensure that our members and services comply with the Terms of Use. Q: What is My Profile?
A: My Profile is the page where you can create or modify your personalization settings, subscriptions, personal contact information, and change your password etc.

Q: How are my username and password protected?
A: Your username and password is encrypted securely stored. Whenever you forget your password, a new temporary password is generated by the system and sent directly to you. No one, including the portal administrator, will ever know your password.

Q: Why can't I log in successfully?
A: The reason could be that the User ID or the password you supplied is incorrect. The password field is case-sensitive. Please check to see that you don't have the Caps Lock key turned on (on your keyboard).
If you have tried to login using incorrect user id's and/or passwords, the system will automatically lock your account after an unsuccessful login attempt limit has been reached.  Please contact the portal administrator if you cannot login.  The portal administrator can be reached at support@gctl.co.uk

Q: Why am I being asked to log-in again, after I logged in to the portal?
A: The portal maintains an additional level of security in terms of session time-outs. After you log-in to the portal and have not done anything for a pre-set period of time, the system will automatically log you out. This will also happen after you log-in to the secure area of the portal, and then later moved to a non-secure area of the portal. The system considers you as an inactive user of the secure area and logs you out automatically after a preset period of time. This feature protects you, in the event case you have logged in and then stepped away from your computer.

Q: What if the portal is unavailable?
A: If you are unable to get to the MyCoolSpace portal or receive a message saying the service is unavailable, please try again later. Service interruptions will be rare and may be due to regular scheduled system maintenance or an unexpected outage due to circumstances beyond our control.
